03 — The Platform
Most ingredient houses run discovery and manufacture as separate trades. We run them as one instrument: a bio-circuit that turns every cellular signal into sequencing data, a cell operating system trained on it, and a wet lab that returns its results to the same corpus. Each pass makes the next one cheaper.

Module 01 · Input layer
A virtual cell is only as good as the measurements under it, and those measurements do not yet exist. The interactome — which protein touches which, when, and where — has never been captured at scale, because every modality has needed its own instrument. Our answer came from chip design. Rather than build an instrument per signal, we designed a genetically encoded bio-circuit that converts every signal class into the one output the world already reads cheaply and losslessly: sequence.
The bio-circuit converts massive interactome measurement into actionable sequencing data — one instrument class in place of a dozen.
The model reconstructs the interactome network rather than inferring it statistically, so an edge in the graph answers to a measurement, not a correlation.
An AWS-scale 100 ZB corpus compressed into a single room, which is what makes the economics work at all.
Module 02 · Method layer
Between a corpus and a product sits a method question: how do you get from a genome you can read to an organism that does what you want? We run it as three movements on one loop — decode a species until its regulatory logic is legible, design the intervention in silico, then recode the living cell and measure what actually happened. That measurement re-enters the corpus, and the next turn begins from a better prior.

Module 03 · Yield
Classical strain engineering walks the pathway one enzyme at a time. Trained on the interactome corpus, CellOS reads the microalgal regulatory graph and returns the transcription factors that sit above whole metabolite classes — the handful of nodes where a single edit moves the entire branch. We then make that edit with nanoparticle-delivered CRISPR and measure the cell, not the model.

Module 04 · Discovery
Ageing research is slow because its readout is slow: you wait for a population to die. We shortened the readout instead of the biology. A whole-genome-edited cell library gives us one knockout line per gene; single-cell tracking gives us the lifespan of each line in days rather than months. What comes out is a ranked list of proteins that genuinely govern ageing — and against those, an AI binder pipeline proposes the peptides and small molecules, which go straight back into the same tracking assay for confirmation.
Every knockout line in the library is tracked to end of life. Lines that fail early name the proteins that actually hold ageing in check; lines that do not shorten lifespan are dropped, however attractive the pathway looked.
Structure-prediction and binder-design models propose peptides and small molecules against each confirmed target, in the manner of the current generation of AI discovery pipelines.
Candidates return to the same single-cell tracking assay for lifespan extension, then to reporter-cell and murine models for the inflammatory readout.
Module 05 · Manufacture
An active that only exists at bench scale is not an ingredient. Because the yield gain lives in the strain rather than in a downstream process, the line that came out of CellOS is the line that goes into the photobioreactor — no re-engineering between discovery and supply, and no step where the economics quietly change. Photoautotrophic growth means the carbon input is CO₂ and light.
Module 06 · Output
Peptides are large, polar and short-lived — everything the skin barrier is built to exclude. The carrier work therefore sits inside the platform rather than after it: the same lipid-nanoparticle optimisation that the design layer runs for RNA carriers is run for topical delivery, and the same engineered algal cells that make the active also make the lipids that carry it. Depth of penetration is measured by fluorescent tracking, not inferred from the formulation.
